Awards
Judges Choice
During each session, judges choose their own specialty awards that recognize dancers based on performance quality, showmanship, technique, and entertainment.
Best Choreography
Judges award a best choreography award at the end of each day. If the Choreographer is present, they will be invited up onto the stage to accept their award and say a few words about their creation!
Starzmanship
At Starz, this is the only award given by our staff. We like to recognize the studios that show sportsmanship and kindness to other studios, staff, and dancers. We award one Starzmanship Plaque on each stage during the final awards ceremony.
Title
Dancers with two or more solos in different categories at the Starz level are eligible to register for Title. We combine their top two scores and they compete against other title contestants. Regional winners are invited to Nationals to compete for our National Title!
Topshot
Dancers can submit their best photos from the event into our Top Shot competition! Winners are announced at the end of each event and featured on the following year’s program cover! All entries are eligible for being used on social media, website, merchendise, & more!
Standout dancers
Dancers that especially impress the judges will be awarded a Standout Dancer Lanyard! This VIP pass invites them to come to one of our National events to work with a professional choreographer on a production number that opens up our Grand National Groups on the last day of the competition!
improv shootout
We welcome all dancers to participate in our Improv Shootouts! These happen right before the High Point Awards Ceremony for each age group's solos. Dancers take the stage in small groups and are given 60 seconds to dance to a random song. All styles of dance are welcome and encouraged!
Improv is $40 to register and studios can sign up online or dancers can sign up at retail during the event.
